My Captured Moments from Italia

ROME:
r01
My first time feeling the overwhelming vastness of an awe-inspiring space - St. Peter's Basilica is incomparable to any other place made by man.
r02
A late night exploration in Roma after visiting Coloseo, Vittorio Emmanuele monument, seeking refuge from the rain at the Campidoglio and Trevi Fountain.
r03
On one of the few day-offs during the fieldschool, don't forget to visit the key places that are worth seeing. Do it the Italian way, and relax. "Dolce fare niente" (Sweet doing nothing)
r04
Me and my project team during our ethnographic research in Trastevere - my favourite Roman neighborhood.

TUSCANY:
t01
Visiting all the Tuscan hilltowns was very enjoyable, their public squares and the language of the architecture made it feel like they are of another world.
t02
I woke up to the last day of our stay in Dolciano with this tiny kitten sleeping under my legs as I had slept through the night with my legs propped up.
t03
Walking into the Tuscan hilltown Pienza (that I had studied prior) for the first time was very memorable to me - it was better than what I had imagined it to be - I envy the people who live there.
f01
I really felt the aura of creativity and learning in the city of Florence - the city itself encouraged that sense of freedom.

FLORENCE:
f02
A group of us waited outside the Duomo for it to open. A seemingly random group of individuals brought together by their dedication to the ItaliaDesign Field School.
f03
Classical music performed by an orchestra in the middle of the open Piazza della Signoria solely for the enjoyment by the public.
f04
Public display of excitement over the Arno River above Ponte Vecchi

MILAN:
m01
Throughout the trip: "no photo" - especially in museums.
m02
The work and inspirations of Paolo Rissato (of Luceplan) - very informative; great teacher.
m03
Perspectives: Perception of the different scales in life and architecture.
